As the 1944 Stearman touched down carrying Mary, an 88-year-old former pilot, she held back tears. “It was so great. You guys have no idea. Wonderful!” Her husband Vince, who served during WWII as part of a bomber crew flying over Japan, climbed into the co-pilot’s seat for his turn. His experience was as magical as Mary’s.
