Every year, Dream Flights’ historic journey across the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave honors close to 800 Korean War, WWII, and Vietnam veterans with free life-changing flights in restored, WWII-era open-cockpit biplanes.
A Dream Flight is a national recognition, a ‘thank you’—long overdue for some—for a willingness to serve and sacrifice for our nation. Buckled in the cockpit of a Stearman biplane, veterans soar 1,000 feet above family, friends, and community. The freedom and fresh air are a magical combination, and they land feeling invigorated, younger, fearless.
Step aboard as we journey to dozens of states honoring brave men and women for their service including Texas, where in 2024 we will provide the 7,000th Dream Flight to one lucky veteran. And the journey continues in 2025 as we launch Operation Welcome Home – dedicated to honoring Vietnam veterans who did not receive a thank you for their heroic service.
